Why I Write

Many years ago – back in the dark ages of the internet – I ran a personal blog. I found the writing of it to be oftentimes cathartic, mixed in with all the other, more mundane posts about daily life. While I don’t intend to write here every day (I have a professional blog as well), I definitely look forward to creating an ongoing testament to my lived experience. I chose the title for my blog as an homage to the musical “Hamilton”, in which one of the most poignant songs is entitled, “His World Was Wide Enough”. For me, MyWorldIsWideEnough captures the essence of my personal brand of commentary, mixed with occasional navel-gazing and even more occasional family fun. It helps me feel that I am part of an interconnected world, and I love putting down my mark.
